Kumari Patricia

For a very long time Kumari Patricia’s work has been as a professor at a small progressive college in Vermont, Goddard College, and she holds an MAE from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from Goddard College and an MSW from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor..  By 2022, Kumari left Goddard as faculty to work full-time developing this retreat, Kumari of the Woods and creating her life coaching practice on a virtual space called Wise Women. Kumari supports women in healing after loss in life and moving through these important life transitions. In addition, Kumari teaches gentle restorative yoga and paints as much as she can.  Kumari ‘s book titled Manifestations of Self Within Place (2018) is an auto-ethnography of her life’s work and meaning in Vermont.  It is a “love story in pictures.”containing her essays and her art.

Kumari Patricia is committed to finding authenticity and joy in the natural world, in Vermont. She is close to her five adult children and lives at the retreat near her two sons, Ben, her business partner in the retreat and Erik who runs their homestead.

Kumari Patricia and Ben include the whole family as this project is getting underway!
