On June 21st we will celebrate the longest day of the year. It is the Summer Solstice. A time when we feel the heat of the sun and the blanket of light surrounding us. It is a powerful shift in our year as we step into the enlightenment of our summer season. Schools are out. Children feel free. Parents take time off. The air is hot with the sun’s breath upon us.
This is the season for camping, vacations and escapes. Kumari of the Woods is planning a special entrance into summer:
A Sound Bath in our Forest with the extraordinary Cassia Daches. June 21st from 4-6 pm.
We are creating this event on the deck of Gratitude, our cottage that looks upon the forest as a small child looks up to the wise elders. If you attend the sound bath you will be invited to either lie down on a yoga mat on the deck or slightly inside the cottage or you can relax on an Adirondack chair comfortably raising your legs if that is needed. You will be transported into the sounds of Cassia’s symphonic gong, singing bowls, and healing instruments.
It is a transformative, meditative experience.
The cost of this event is $40. Spaces are limited to 12 yoga mats and four Adirondack chairs. Please check off what you need as you register HERE:
That night of June 21st, the Grace Cottage can be rented for an overnight stay. Maybe you could be the first one to add that to your evening and book the cottage after the Sound Bath.
In addition, our camping site called the Hideaway will be opening in June for guests to experience our forest, the trail and a much more minimalist stay.
As always, you can book your stay at Kumari of the Woods direct on our website:
We look forward to hosting Cassia and welcoming you to our Woods.
