Stay at Kumari of the Woods

Everyone travels differently. Some folks enjoy a stay in a big highrise hotel with room service, an indoor pool, a weight room and hvac systems that recycle air throughout the night. The sound of it turning on and off helps to shut out the noise from the party across the hall and along with 60 different channels on the cable tv, that getaway is perfect.

Other people love to camp in the wild. Pitch a tent, roll out a sleeping bag, build the campfire and roast marshmallows. That can be a great way to unplug and disconnect from the world and visit your back to nature self.

And then other travelers prefer to combine the woodsy feel of a cottage off the beaten path, walking trails, breathing next to trees that support our lungs, yet also have the comfort of a bathtub to soak in and the privacy of indoor cooking in a small, well-maintained kitchen and a bed with comfortable mattress almost equal to that large hotel.

That last option is what we offer you at Kumari of the Woods. Our first cottage will open for short stays in August and the second cottage will shortly follow to open during fall foliage season. Both offer you a stay that resembles the comfort of a hotel integrated within the forest.  You get to wake up to the sound of the birds, brew your coffee in your kitchen and enjoy it on the deck overlooking the forest greens or other colors in fall.

In winter you can hunker down during a storm, curl up with a good book in the loft or cook your favorite meal in your kitchen.

And if you prefer a more rugged forest stay, you can book a couple of nights in one of our smaller cabin Hideaways. They offer you an indoor cabin stay with a big bed, huge window, composting toilets and cooking over a propane grill near your picnic table. All tucked within the forest canopy for privacy and that sense of tranquility you desire.

Kumari of the Woods meets you where you are, what you seek and what you need to rest, relax and restore your energy in a getaway you deserve.  If you are the traveler who loves the highrise hotel, Kumari of the Woods may not be for you.

But if you seek some solitude within the forest for your downtime. Check us out.

We will Welcome You to Our Woods.
